Position Summary
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations at Goldfish Swim School, ensuring alignment with our brand standards and delivering an exceptional “golden” experience for families and team members alike. You’ll lead staff, optimize operations, uphold safety standards, and drive team culture, ensuring every child and parent feels welcome and supported.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
● Ensure daily operations follow GSS standard operating procedures.
● Maintain & oversee facility and pool operations to ensure cleanliness, safety and scheduling accuracy.
● Direct and manage emergency and safety protocols, including staff training on the Emergency Action Plan (EAP).
Team Management
● Recruit, schedule, and manage all staff; oversee payroll.
● Train, develop, and mentor team members to maximize performance and morale.
● Oversee Deck Supervisors and Aquatics staff; ensure high-quality swim instruction.
● Lead internal culture efforts to promote staff satisfaction and retention (“Fun” Department).
Customer Experience, Sales & Marketing
● Deliver a best-in-class customer service experience.
● Manage class scheduling, student progress tracking, and parent communication.
● Provide sales & marketing training and direction to the front desk, sales teams and other qualified staff.
● Stay on track with enrollment and other goals intended to measure success. Create and implement a plan when goals are not met.
● Oversee private party operations and ensure GSS brand standards are maintained.
Retail & Vending Oversight
● Manage inventory, pricing, and product mix for retail and vending operations.
Technology & Software
● Gain expertise in all technology to manage bookings, reporting, and admin tasks.
Requirements
Education & Experience
● High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field preferred.
● 3–5 years of management experience preferred.
● Experience as a youth sports instructor, camp counselor, or aquatics supervisor is a plus.
● Must be Lifeguard, CPR, AED & First Aid certified. All management employees must have their Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license as well. Must be willing to acquire these certifications upon hire.

● Follow all CDC, WHO, and local health guidelines.
● Pools disinfected with chlorine per CDC recommendations.
● On-shift cleaners sanitize high-touch surfaces.
● Ventilation systems circulate fresh air continuously.
Work Environment
● Moderate noise level; regular exposure to heat and humidity.
Compensation & Perks:
● Annual Salary: $75,000-$100,000
